Alex Herrera is a seasoned football official with over 20 years of experience on the field. His officiating career spans every level of the game, including 10 years at the collegiate and semi-pro levels. Most recently, he has spent the past two seasons officiating at the professional level in the Indoor Football League (IFL), bringing a high standard of judgment, consistency, and professionalism to every game he works.

In addition to on-field officiating, Alex also serves as an assignor, managing a roster of officials with collegiate-level experience across Junior College, NAIA, and NCAA Divisions I–III. He oversees every aspect of their development—grading, coaching, and mentoring each official on a weekly basis to ensure consistent growth and high-quality performance across all assignments. His commitment to excellence has helped elevate the overall standard of officiating within every league he supports.
